Police in Bellevue, Washington, say a female postal worker accused of striking a pedestrian three times with her marked postal service vehicle while "laughing hysterically" has been arrested for investigation of assault.
Officer Seth Tyler says police responding to an assault report Friday in front of Phantom Lake Elementary School learned that the man who was hit had been trying to photograph the postal vehicle. Tyler says the victim reported that he grew concerned after observing the postal worker yelling obscenities at another person and decided to take a photo of the vehicle in order to make a complaint to the U.S. Postal Service.
Tyler says the victim was not injured although his leg was hit by the vehicle.Close enough for government agency work.Thank goodness we have the Private Express Statutes to keep mail delivery a monopoly. Think of how many more such assaults there'd be if we allowed competition.
