A woman who worked briefly as the executive assistant to the
president of Bates College [Maine] has filed a discrimination lawsuit against
the school, alleging she was expected to play tennis, jog and watch
“chick flicks” with her boss.
Sarah Hulbert, of Auburn, wrote in her complaint in Androscoggin
County Superior Court that she was intentionally treated differently
from her male co-workers, which she said was a violation of the Maine
Human Rights Act.
No means no. The boss had better have a document signed by that woman, affirming that she willingly played tennis at every set, and that the woman was not drunk and so able to give consent.
