Though Mary Richard's old boss is little out of date with his facts; 'the one percent' pay more in taxes today (and a much larger share of the nation's tax revenues) than they did back when Mary was tossing her hat into the air in Minneapolis.
Not to mention that 'the people' get their material needs--food, clothing, shelter, entertainment, transportation--filled at much lower costs today thanks to those rich guys who invest their money in factories overseas where costs are lower. That means lower prices for consumers.
But, anyone nostalgic for Agit-prop probably enjoyed the fairy tale. Willi Muenzenberg cast a long shadow.
