Separate Fables

The POTUS doesn't want to be caught in the middle at the free lunch, it might be bad for digestion;
On Wednesday, Obama met with “Team Bernanke,” a group of conservative economists including the former Fed chairman.
Last month, Obama met with “Team Krugman,” a group of more liberal policy wonks including New York Times columnist Paul Krugman.
James Glassman, an economist at J.P. Morgan Chase, thinks it is a good idea for Obama to separate the economists that way. “People on the same wavelength feed on each other,” so the discussion builds on ideas, and, if Obama doesn’t understand a point, someone else can make it better, he said.If the different groups were invited to the same meeting, “everyone would fight with each other, and you don’t know what they are talking about,” he said.
Especially if you're a politician with no evidence you've ever having read an economics book.

  1. Political economics is not hard. "Buy the poor, sell the rich".
