Too many
politicians in the way;
The popular ridesharing service Uber has announced it is leaving Broward County.
.... Uber had previously agreed to withdraw from the airport and port in
Broward County, hoping to persuade commissioners not to institute new
regulations. Those rules include requiring each driver to obtain a
county chauffeur registration, a car permit and background check.
Uber released a statement saying the new rules raise substantial
barriers for their drivers and make it impossible for the company to
continue operating in the area.
They'll stay in Palm Beach and Miami-Dade, as long as they're welcome.
